Yesterday I got a little bored, so I decided to write a new module to kill time. The result is flash gallery module. This module is an alternative way of displaying your photo albums using Flash, inside a Drupal environment.
Flash gallery module depends on image module and image gallery module. It takes existing images and galleries, prepares a custom xml-feed from them, and injects the feed into an embedded Flash file.

So, here we go. This is the official start of Endymios.com, a small Belgian Drupal consultancy company, incorporated by Dries Knapen.
During the last years, Drupal has grown from a small and unknown online messaging system written by Dries Buytaert, a Computer Science student, into one of the most popular and comprehensive Content Management Platforms on the planet.
Together with the system's growth, the community surrounding it has also increased dramatically. Drupal.org currently has over 75.000 registered users, the number of national support sites keeps going up, about two DrupalCon conferences are being organised each year, ...
Although programming, testing, extending, documenting, ... Drupal has long been driven by volunteer work, it is no surprise that the number of Drupal service providers is currenly exploding as well, ranging from small, one-man businesses such as this one, to large multi-employee companies such as Bryght, CivicSpace, and Lullabot. Nonetheless, the demand for Drupal services still is dramatically higher than the current offer...
As history has already proven, the key to success of commercial Drupal service providers is to keep in touch with the Drupal community, and to keep in mind what empowers their businesses: the Drupal software itself. Contributing back to the Drupal community is therefore, in our opinion, the most important aspect of any open-source-based company's policy, both in terms of ethics as well as of strategy. And that's exactly what we at Endymios are determined to accomplish.
